Review: Ruby Red Shoes: My Wonderful Grandmother

Ruby is a hare (not a rabbit) and she lives with her grandmother, Babushka Galina Galushka.

There's lots to love about Ruby and Grandmother, and they will touch the hearts of everyone who has ever had a special relationship with a grandparent.

Ruby loves Grandmother, who is incredibly unique. She rather takes after her, and likes to be individual in her fashion style.

She also loves Grandmother's stories, and the fact she doesn't treat Ruby like a child.

In Ruby Red Shoes: My Wonderful Grandmother we get to read all about Ruby's special relationship with Grandmother.

Grandmother helps Ruby learn the meaning of new words, and teaches her how to make pasta. We discover that Grandmother loves to read and is part of a book club. She loves listening to music, and exploring nature, too.

Life with Grandmother is filled with afternoon tea, fairy hunting, and swimming. It's wonderful, just like Grandmother.

The Ruby Red Shoes world created by Kate Knapp has a kind of magical, olde worlde feel to it.

Like other books in the series, Ruby Red Shoes:My Wonderful Grandmother is a perfect gift, and a beautiful story for sharing with children.
