Review: Fish Kid and the Mega Manta Ray

Bodhi has a secret — he has secret fish powers that allow him to breathe under water and zoom thorough the water like a fish. He’s a fish kid!

Following on from Fish Kid and the Ninja Lizard, Bodhi and his best friend Emely are holidaying with Bodhi’s grandfather by the sea at Ningaloo. Bodhi’s gran disappeared at sea a year ago, and Bodhi’s grandfather has been by himself ever since. Bodhi and Emely are going to keep him company for a while.

Swimming, snorkelling and beach exploring are on the agenda everyday. But when a flock of manta rays take a special interest in Bodhi and Emily, and Bodhi’s grandfather gives them an ancient relic that belonged to Bodhi’s gran, questions are raised and mysteries are uncovered.

What exactly happened to Bodhi’s gran? And why does Bodhi have a special bond with the manta rays? The Fish Kid series is a brilliant adventure tale for junior readers. It’s fun and fast paced, with loads of suspense and mystery.

Peppered throughout the book are fact pages about the sea creatures featured in the story, making this a great book for kids who love animals. You can learn about whales, manta rays, dugongs and more.

Easy to read and heaps of fun, Fish Kid and the Mega Manta Ray is recommended for junior readers who love adventure, super powers and the sea.
