Review: I'm Fabulous Crab!

Henry the hermit crab is sick of hiding away, creeping along the sea floor trying to avoid predators.

Enough is enough.

‘I’m done being dreary.
I’m done being drab.
I’m done being Henry… I’m Fabulous Crab!’

When Fabulous steps onto the scene, his fabulous-ness really shines. He finds glimmering, shimmery sparkle and piles it onto his shell.

But when he goes a little bit too far, and some big fishy meanies come after him, what will Fabulous do?

This is a fun and funky rhyming tale about daring to be yourself — taking risks and being brave. With a fun surprise ending, it’s fresh and giggle-inducing, and will 100% bring a smile to your face.

Nicki Greenberg’s colourful illustrations shine in this picture book. With splashes of mixed media and loads of colour, it’s a visual feast for the eyes, and there’s lots to explore as you turn the pages.

Inspired by the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef, which Nikki explored by snorkeling to research for the book, I’m Fabulous Crab! is a beautiful showcase of our ocean and the beauty that can be found at the bottom of the sea. And who’s to say there aren’t fabulous crabs down there just like Fab!

Filled with fun, humour and inspiration to be fabulous, I’m Fabulous Crab! is a glorious, sparkly read. Perfect for classroom and family reading time, it’s a picture book winner!
